    Glen Erin Golf Club is hiring a Sous Chef for our beautiful 500 person seat, one-of-a-kind wedding facility in Janesville, Wisconsin called the Celtic House. The Celtic House at Glen Erin Golf Club has only been open since July of 2019 and has already hosted hundreds of private events and weddings and is quickly becoming one of the elite wedding facilities in South Central Wisconsin. The Celtic House at Glen Erin was awarded Five-Star Couple Choice Awards in 2020 from WeddingWire and in 2021 was named The Knot Best of Wedding Facility for Wisconsin, as well as a finalist for Best Country Club/Golf Club venue each year since we opened.

    The Sous Chef will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation in the existing restaurant and banquet facility kitchen. This will involve a large degree of supervising other kitchen staff. The Sous Chef will also help with menu planning, inventory, and managing of supplies.

    Additional responsibilities include ensuring quality of food prepared and appearance, cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.

    Ideal candidates will have a background in Culinary Arts or similar with emphasis in food preparation or related field.

    Ideal candidates will have a minimum 3 years experience as a Sous Chef. Prior experience in high-volume food production, banquet preparation, or restaurant experience is a must.

    Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000-$55,000 based on experience

    The Line Cook/Banquet Chef will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation in the existing restaurant and banquet facility kitchen. The Line Cook/Banquet Chef will also help with menu planning, inventory, and managing of supplies.

    Additional responsibilities include ensuring quality of food prepared and appearance, cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.

    Ideal candidates will have a background in Culinary Arts or similar with emphasis in food preparation or related field.

    We are seeking energetic and well-organized banquet servers to provide our customers with a first-class banquet experience. As a Banquet server you will be responsible for set up and break down of event space or bar, food handling, serving, etc

    We host many weddings, golf outings and banquets. Customer service is extremely important, you must be able to deliver quality service.

    Requirements:

    • Serving experience preferred
    • Can successfully pass a fine dining test
    • Can pass a background check
    • Strong customer service background
    • Can commit to an 8 month season
    • Uniform required
    • Valid drivers license
    • Able to lift 25 pounds

    Job Description: The bartender/server is responsible for fulfilling the food and beverage needs of all clients in a timely and accurate manner.

    Daily Job Duties:

    • Making alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for guests.
    • Taking food orders
    • Running food to tables
    • Friday Night Fish Fry Table service serving.
    • Stocking coolers at beginning and end of each shift
    • Accurately handling money and working a POS system
    • Maintaining an above average level of cleanliness both personally and in the work place.

    Requirements:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Either already maintained or have the ability to get a bartending license in the city of Janesville.
    • All applicants MUST be able to work from April 1, 2023- November 1, 2023
    • Must be able to work a variety of shifts. Nights and Weekends.

    JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the details and cleanliness of the golf cart fleet, be sure carts are full of gas or charged, and supplies are accurately stocked. Provide unparalleled service to our members and guests.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Greet and welcome players
    • Stage carts in proper staging area prepared to service players as they arrive
    • Detail staged carts in the morning as needed
    • Wash range balls and towels daily
    • Return carts to storage area removing towels, pencils, score cards, tees, trash, etc. from carts and reuse appropriate items
    • Wash and detail carts before parking to charge overnight
    • Properly plug carts in for charging for the night

    BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

    • Excellent communication/relational service skills
    • Golf experience or knowledge of the game preferred
    • Candidates must have professional presentation and strong customer service/interpersonal skills

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Possess the ability to drive a gas and/or battery operated golf cart, following safety guidelines
    • Ability to lift, push, pull, carry up to 30 lbs.
    • Must be able to withstand a range of outside weather conditions (heat/cold, rain/snow, etc.)
    • Must be able to withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight.

    Job Type: Part-time, Full-Time Shifts- Nights and Weekends Required
    Must be 16 years of age.

    JOB SUMMARY: Beverage Cart Attendants play a vital role in our business model here at Glen Erin. We provide on course beverage service 7 days a week with multiple carts going on weekends and during golf events.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Set up beverage assigned beverage cart with appropriate number and type of beverages according to policies advocated by the facility
    • Perform checks to see if dates of expiry on non-alcoholic beverages are valid
    • Maintain knowledge of beverage prices and dates to be able to talk intelligently to customers
    • Greet guests in a friendly manner and inquire into their beverage requirements
    • Provide guests with checks and process payments on an immediate basis
    • Restock carts with beverages, ice, sundries, and napkins on a regular basis
    • Keep beverage carts fueled and clean and store it at the end of each shift
    • Create and maintain an inventory of beverages taken and returned each day

    Job Type: This position is seasonal. ALL candidates MUST be available April 1st - October 1st.
