Glen Erin is being developed by Aviation Golf Services, a full service golf development company located in Madison, Wisconsin that specializes in airport golf facilities. AGS was founded to satisfy the need to create a profitable aesthetic anchor for airport land-side operations while providing a much needed recreational facility for the community. AGS recognizes that golf can be the catalyst for other types of commercial development such as hotels, office complexes and light manufacturing facilities. AGS has national capabilities and has initiated projects in California, Wisconsin, Illinois and the East Coast.
Architect
Martin Design Partnership, Ltd. was founded in 1991 with a commitment to providing the highest level of Golf Course and Landscape Architectural service. MDP's "process oriented" philosophy allows the client opportunity for substantial input throughout the design process. Martin Design promotes a multi-disciplinary and site-specific design approach.
In the spring of 1997 Greg Martin traveled to Ireland and Scotland to study and play some of the most revered and distinguished golf links. These courses, including Ballybunion, Old and New, The Old Course at St. Andrews, Prestwick, Western Gailes, and Turnberry were inspirational and contributed greatly to Greg's design of Glen Erin.
Martin Design Partnership has been the architect on several award winning golf courses, including; the Millwood Golf & Racquet Club in Springfield, Missouri - a Golf Digest 4 ½ Star "Places to Play" rating and Rich Harvest Links in Sugar Grove, Illinois - Golf Digest 7th Best Golf Course in Illinois for 2001.
